SPOA Protest Day

If you’ve been surfing the web today, you may find several website blacked out, Google themselves have blacked out their own log on many and probably the best know of today’s protesters is Wikipedia.

There’s a link to explain more about it on the Wikipedia main site (I’ve also included it below). But I came across this video and I don’t know about you, but I always learn more from watching and listening. Underneath the video there’s a link where you can click through to sign the petition.

This smacks a little of Big Brother, what do you think?

PS – Today’s protest used a  platform of English speaking websites.

“Best Laid Plans”

Everything was going so well and then it all goes a bit pear shaped.

Coming up to Christmas I wanted to reward my friends/subscribers with some awesome freebies that they could use within their on-line careers  and help move everyone forward a little as we go into the New Year of 2012.

This was all set up, when I had a call from Tracey (my Neice  whom I share office space with now), to say that her youngest had bought a tummy bug home from school and the family had gone down with very bad tummy upset (of the worst kind, if you know what I mean), and perhaps it would be best if I didn’t go in, (although I still could if I wanted to). Mmm – go into the office and possibly be really ill (the worst kind) over Christmas, or work (kind of) from home. So I became a “Cluck Cluck Chicken” and stayed away.

That’s fine, as internet marketers one of the advantages is that we can work from anyway right ? – Wrong.  – Well not wrong really, but in this case all the products I wanted to send were on my office pc and with the best will in the world I couldn’t magic them onto my home pc.

This has prompted me to think about investing in either a cloud storage system or a NAS drive. (NB: I think cloud storage will be a good niche to get into next year). Could I ask your advice, do you use a cloud or NAS system and if you’ve used both what do you recommend?

I did manage to send out my Friday Freebie to my subscribers,  and have promised to get the other freebies to them when I get back into the office.

*Like a freebie?-Post a Comment and I’ll Send You One :-)

Sites Like Fiverr

As promised to my subscribers here’s a list of 20 sites that you can sell or buy gigs on. Some aren’t limited to $5.00 either so if you’re not happy selling/working for $5.00 then there are opportunites out there.

fiverr.com
tenbux.com
zeerk.com
Gigbux.com
gigme5.com
givemeabuck.me
jobsfor12.com
Gigblasters.com
Gigswood.com
onjobbing.com
justafive.com
gighour.com
ffiver.com
i-will-do.com
tenyt.com
magicgig.com
makeafiver.co.uk
fittytown.com
myntmarket.com

This is really just a sample of the many sites out there, but I would add a word of caution before committing major time or money to any site that isn’t as well known as fiverr, do your homework, feedback, payment processes, how much commission does the site take, delivery time etc.

That said you can earn a nice little income on these micro freelancing sites.
